Adults and Acne
Today around 25% of all men and 50% of all women will suffer from some form of adult acne in their adult life. In fact people who are now in the 20's, 30's and 40's are seeking medical advice to treat this skin condition as well as teenagers. Just like teenagers, these adults are also finding it extremely difficult to cope with the problem of acne.
It is hard to believe that this skin condition, which is common in teenagers, is now becoming just as common in adults as well. Although many people are unsure what the true cause of this skin condition there have been plenty of ideas put about. Certainly one cause which seems to be prominent for this condition is hormonal changes that are taking place in the person's body. Therefore, it is important that if you at any stage feel you may have acne you should seek medical advice from you doctor as soon as you possibly can.
Along with hormonal changes being the cause for this skin problem there are plenty of others, which may be why one adult suffers from it, and another does not. Below we look at some of the other reasons why you yourself may be suffering from adult acne.
1. Another cause for why an adult may have suddenly begun to suffer from this skin condition is their poor dietary habits. If they are eating the wrong kinds of foods such as too much sugar, fat or carbohydrates then their body is not getting the rights amounts of nutrients that it needs. Not only will this cause their digestive system to function incorrectly but also their hormonal balance will not remain healthy.
But as well as your diet being high in the kinds of things we have mentioned above you may be someone who chooses to eat lots of processed food (takeaways etc). Therefore, if you want to make sure that you reduce the chances of suffering from adult acne you need to change your dietary habits. You need to start eating more fresh foods and increase the amount of water (eight glasses) that you drink each day. Doing this will further help to remove toxins from your body and reduce the chances of you suffering from this skin condition.
2. Another reason why some adults suffer from this skin condition is because they have inherited the gene from one of their parents. The problem that some adults will face who have inherited the condition is that theirs can become extremely severe and lead to scarring.
3. Finally the other reason why an adult may suffer from acne is because of the makeup and skin care products that they are using, especially if they have been made synthetically. These products will actually cause the acid alkaline in your skin to become unbalanced and so the chances of acne appearing are greatly increased. Therefore, if you want to make sure that you do not suffer from acne then use only natural products.
Above we have shown you a number of the causes for adult acne but just like teenagers in many cases using the same products as they do will help to treat the condition. Also use such medications by making changes to dietary habits and using only natural products to care for your skin will help improve the situation as well.
