Natural Skin Care Recipe: Oatmeal Hypo-allergenic Skin Cleanser
The natural skin care recipe below is one of the simplest recipes available but it could equally be described as one of the most important. More and more of us are finding that our skin is sensitive to something. Maybe it is the perfume element of the product, maybe one of the other synthetic components, but whatever it is that is causing our skin to be irritated it can, in most cases, be eliminated by using a natural skin care recipe.
Our natural skin care recipe for an oatmeal skin cleanser is suitable for all types of skin. However people with hypo-allergenic skin will appreciate it's simplicity and effectiveness. Not only does this recipe cleanse the skin it also makes it nice and soft to the touch.
If you find that the amount produced is far too much simply half the ingredients. However, if you keep any remaining mixture in the refrigerator it will keep for up to a week. If you plan to use the natural skin care recipe regularly we strongly advise that you thoroughly clean out all containers and utensils after each batch is created/used up.
If you keep a container in the refrigerator and just keep topping it up with our oatmeal skin cleanser it will not last very long at all. It is far better to keep each batch produced in separate containers to avoid contamination. As with all other recipes on this site our natural skin care recipe for an hypo-allergenic skin cleanser does not have any preservatives and it, therefore, goes bad quickly if not kept very cool. If you suspect that your mixture is more than a couple of days old it is far better to destroy it than use it. After all it is only cheap, and very easy to produce.
Oatmeal Hypo-allergenic Skin Cleanser
Ingredients
½ cup oatmeal or cornmeal
plain yogurt
Simply mix the yogurt into the oatmeal until it reaches the consistency of a smooth paste. Carefully, and gently, apply the mixture to the face but be careful to avoid really sensitive areas of skin, especially around the eyes. After gently massaging it for a few minutes rinse your face with clean tepid water and pat dry.
This natural skin care recipe is best prepared immediately before use. It is also best if the mixture is allowed to reach room temperature before use. However, any remaining mixture can be kept for a day or too if kept cool.
